Hi Joanne, sorry but we don’t currently support this level of functionality in our service, but we’ll definitely consider this for a future enhancement. Thanks for trying our product!

I've used the SEO to try and optimize my site and followed its suggestions, yet the highest rating I seem to achieve is 58%! I've spoken to a company that specializes on optimizing websites and the cost if prohibitive for a new business owner like myself. What am I doing wrong? Do you have any suggestions??

Hi Rose- I’m glad to hear you’re trying out our SEO product – and I’d be happy to help you improve your score. One of the most important keys to good SEO is choosing and using your Search Terms. You’ll want to choose a few Search Terms that describe your business, to start just focus of a few (3-4). After you’ve chosen your Search Terms, try to use them throughout your site wherever they make sense: in your text, in your page names, your image descriptions, etc. This will help search engines like Google know what your site is about, and will help your SEO score! Once you’ve got your Search Term score improved, next I would focus on your page names. Each of your page names should accurately describe its contents and try to include one of your search terms. The words in your page name should also be incorporated in the text of your site (for page names like About Us and Contact Us this isn’t as important). Last, I’d work on your Page Descriptions. Each of your page descriptions should be unique, include some of your search terms and should not be longer than a small paragraph. Let me know how it goes, and if you have any more questions. Thanks! Whitney

I have a webiste with you and I have a couple of questions? How can I get a Facebook and Twitter link on my page? I have tried copying and pasting their codes but it doesn't convert into an image. Quite often the edit your website page is not very helpful for what I want to do and I can get quite frustrated. I am wanting to upgrade my website to a .com - will my current traffic get redirected there if I change or do I start from scratch again. I currently have all my advertising of the .vpweb.co.nz site???

Hi Catlin, To add Facebook and Twitter badges to your site you need to do it using the "HTML" feature in the "Extras" section of the site builder. Place the cursor where you want the image to show up, then click on the "extas" tab. Once you place the code in the "HTML" box the image should display clearly on your site. Then you can move the "HTML" box to suit the placement of where you want it on the page. Once you upgrade to the .com you will be able to redirect it to the current page so the answer to your question is yes you will be able to keep all the same content on your site and your visitors will be able to see it too. We are continually working on the website builder adding new features and making it easy to use, we apologies for any frustration it may have caused. If you have any specific feedback please feel free to send it through to info@blog.vpweb.com. Let me know if you have anymore troubles with the Facebook and Twitter badges. Thanks for stopping by, Samuel

Hi I have just set up my website with Vista and am having trouble trying to get the links in Contact Us and Recruitment to work. Everytime I click on the link it says "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed". Help!!! What am I doing wrong?

Hi Kristina, Do you mean the links you have to each of the specific email addresses on these pages? If so I think it may be a problem with the mail client set up on your computer specifically as I was able to click on them and it worked for me. So when I clicked on the link it popped open my Outlook (the email client I use) with your email address in the "to" section. Is that what you want it to do? I suggest you check the mail client you have set up on your computer and see if it is set up correctly. Thanks, Samuel

Kristina on Friday, September 17, 2010 7:35 PM
Hi Samuel Yes that is what I wanted to do. Thanks ever so much for checking it out for me, glad to know it is just my computer and not the links. Cheers :-)

I have a website www.pensacolabeachweddings.com, and now I have a site with Vista Print - charlesrandle.vpweb.com (which I see above is not a valid URL). When I can get that worked out, I want to know if I can use my domain name - Pensacola Beach Weddings - for both web sites? Thanks.

Hi Chuck, Each website is unique and is identified by a unique URL. If you want to run two websites you will need to have two separate URL's, however if you want to run one site you can have two domain names and redirect one of them to your website. Does this answer your question?

I have been in business for 5 years. I recently relocated to a new city and opened a website with vistaprint. I have had over 190 visitors and I am barely up and running with it. Putting it together was extremely easy, quick and it looks great..I totally suggest a great website for any business.

Hi, I have a quick question about my website. I'm totally happy with my site's functionality etc.. however when i'm using FireFox (the most popular browser), and open my site in a new "tab", the tabs title has VP's logo, and says Company Name - Home.. instead of forquerlawncare - home. How can I fix this issue?

Good A.M! 2 questions 1. When will the Feedburner link become active? I tried using it about 3 weeks ago, but it wasn't working properly. 2. (may sound strange) What's the difference between "Page Views" & "visitors" ?

Hi Robyn,
Q1:
  • The instructions we gave for setting up Feedburner was missing a small but important piece of information regarding the activation of your account. For it to activate you need to take one more step to activate your account for "email subscriptions" we have updated the instructions to make it easy for you to do, just follow the steps at the bottom of this learning center article: Setting up 'Subscribe by email' with Feedburner
    Q2:
  • Page Views are the number of times someone has viewed a specific page on your website.
  • Visitors is the number of people who have come to your website.

So to explain it, a person who visits your site is counted once as a visitor then the all the pages that they visit whilst on your site are counted as page views. If you are getting a good number of page views above your visitors it is a good thing as your customers are spending time going through more than one page on your site. Hope this helps.

I have recently published my vista website 2 days ago and quite fascinated with it and stil learning the ropes. I not the question above about the difference betweenm the Page and Visitors and now understand it from the explanation provided above. However, I'm still confused between Visitors and the Location Pie Chart. For example, my current Page Views is 114 and my Visitors is 19, yet my Location Pie Chart shows 100 visits from Brisbane. My question is when someone views my website for the first time is their ISP recorded so they don't registered again when they next view my webiste or all subsequent visits still registered as new visists? Also, each time I update my website, does that register a a visitor or not?

Hi Tui, In the main dashboard where you see the 114 views and 19 visits is showcasing that 19 unique people have come to your site and viewed 114 pages. When you drill down into the location pie chart the visits are not uniquely tracked, it is the total visits to the site from that location. Each time you go to the website it is counted as a page visit, so when you update your site and open it to see the changes it will register a visit. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, Samuel

I've been asked to have a look at someone I knows vpweb site to see if I can make it more user friendly and better looking. I was wondering if it is possible to upload Flash content as the main interface? If not, some Flash elements for buttons and banners etc? Thanks, Sarah.

I've been using VP for over 3 years now, I love your services and have recently updated my website. I have one question, however, are google analytics automatically set up on my pages by VP? or do I have to do that manually and how? When I log into Google analytics it will not verify my VP website. thank you

Question: I have an exisiting web page with Vista Print, but when I wanted to update my logo the new look was not offered as an option to update my website until I "bought" the new logo web site. Confused yet? Now I have 2 websites, only need 1, so how do I merge them? I hate the idea of inputting everything I have already done before. Thank you for your advice.
